One of the remotest villages in Darjeeling town, Sittong is also the last village in West Bengal. A tiny yet gushing river called Riyang Khola runs on the edge of the village and once you cross it over a wooden bridge you are in Sikkim. Being secretly perched in a valley surrounded by thick pine forest, Sittong is still one of the least visited places in the Darjeeling district.
Most of the lands in Sittong is blessed with fertile soil and used for cultivation. All villagers have their own cattle for milk and to make various dairy products. Some villagers recently have come with decent homestays for travellers as an additional means of earning.

Meet and Greet at NJP / IXB and proceed for your Sittong Tour with Himavat Destination. Sittong, is a quiet hamlet in the outskirts of Darjeeling and very well located centrally in easy reach of Kaliampong, Kurseong, Darjeeling and Siliguri. It is known for is lush green forests and its orange cultivation, during the winter the entire area turns orange with its orange Gardens. The area is very famous for birds, a large no. of birds can be found here. If You are lucky you can even spot the endangered bird “The great Hornbill “locally called “Dhanesh”.
